Desta McAuliffe

Desta McAuliffe is a 24 year old Oklahoma native who loves all kinds of music, but country and gospel are definitely her favorites. Her influences include Patsy Cline, Reba McEntire, Martina McBride and Nicole C. Mullen.

Desta has had leading roles in musicals such as “The Wizard of Oz,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” “State Fair” and “A Chorus Line.” She performed at and won the True Value Country Showdown in 2003 and has performed at the Oklahoma State Fair and Frontier City. Her most recent performance has been at the Al Amin Shrine Circus in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Desta has played the piano for 15 years and just recently picked up the guitar. She graduated from Western Oklahoma State College in 2004 with a 4.0 GPA and an Associate of Arts degree. She sang and danced at the Shoji Tabuchi Theatre for 2 ½ years and has recently been traveling around south Texas teaching dance and singing gospel music.
